Bopp-reuther Principle of Oval wheel flow meters

  When the fluid enters the metering chamber through the inlet, it forces the internal gears to rotate and discharge through the outlet. Each rotation of the gear will discharge a certain volume of fluid. The controlled clearance between the gear and the chamber wall ensures minimal leakage. When the gear rotates, the magnets at both ends of the gear activate the reed switch and forward the pulse to the display or pulse output.

  The elliptical gear flowmeter is a volumetric flowmeter, most suitable for liquids with viscosity up to 5.000 mPas. (Special models can reach 1.000.000 mPas). Typical applications include mineral oil, hydraulic oil, solvents, brake fluid, coolant, transmission oil, etc.
