The working principle of electromagnetic flow meters is based on Faraday's law of magnetic induction: when a conductor moves at a right angle in a magnetic field, the voltage induced at both ends of the conductor is proportional to the velocity of the conductor. Measure the induced voltage inside the fluid through two internally installed electrodes with opposite diameters.
The induced signal voltage is proportional to the product of magnetic flux density, distance between electrodes, and average flow velocity of the fluid.
Electromagnetic flow meters are very suitable for a minimum conductivity of 5 μ S/cm (20 for softened water μ Flow measurement of all liquids (S/cm). These flow meters are very accurate, and the flow measurement is independent of the density, temperature, and pressure of the medium.
